Drawing on six years of the University’s first private dining contract, Brislen will share strategies, metrics, and hard-won lessons in developing effective local procurement initiatives at public institutions.

Lilian BrislenLilian Brislen is the first Executive Director of The Food Connection, a local food systems center at The University of Kentucky. Her work focuses on developing farm to campus value chains, tracking and evaluating farm to campus purchasing initiatives, and growing innovative and sustainable regional value chains that benefit mid-sized farmers.
